Hi,
i have hub-one router that i'm not sure what is going on. I've recently fired up home assistant on a laptop that i'm testing using it's built in wifi. This is connecting to the 5ghz band on my router. I have set a static ip for this.
When my android phone connects to 5ghz i cannot get a connection to the home assistant web page on this laptop.
If i change my phone to 2.4ghz , it connects fine.
If i use my desk top - ethernet connected, the web page is fine.
Any ideas ?
Thx

Are the two bands using the same name, that can cause confusion? If they are try giving the 5GHz band a different name, that's one useful feature of Hub One missing in Hub Two.

HP sauce - yes they are. Never had to consider splitting the 2 bands before.
Changed 5ghz wifi ssid and now it's working.
I get a broadband drop out at least once a day, so i'll make sure it's all still working after a reset.

That suggests you have a broadband issue, which needs looking at.
First thing to check: Is your phoneline clear? Dial 17070 (preferably from a corded phone), select option 2. Once your phone number is confirmed, there should be silence on the line except for the regular 'Quiet Line Test' message - any other noise, report a PHONE problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/phone/
If the phone test passes, report a broadband problem via: https://www.plus.net/help/report-a-problem/broadband/
Let us know the result - if the tests come back as clear but you still have a problem, we need to investigate further.
The above assumes you still have 'normal' landline connection - if you have a SOGEA (internet only) one the only option is to call Plusnet - 0330 123 9123
