Broadband fail also takes out alexa etc.

Had broadband fail this afternoon. Just after teams meeting. When this occurs also takes out the alexa and Google devices, despite having mesh wifi. The WiFi on the router 2 is turned off.
Any suggestions or solutions? Would attach screenshot from phone of 192.168.1.254 but can't see link on this android page (only file attachment limits).

Re: Broadband fail also takes out alexa etc.

When you see the broadband drop does the light change colour on the Hub and what to.

To attach a picture from a phone you need to change the browser setting for the site you're on to "desktop mode" For chrome as an example touch the three dots top right, scroll down you should see Desktop Site. Select the landscape picture icon to attach a picture above the reply window.

"Had broadband fail this afternoon. When this occurs also takes out the alexa"

Without an internet connection the best Alexa will tell you is "I'm having trouble connecting to the Internet". It relies on a connection back to Amazon services.

I attach screenshot of the event log output just before failure and into the fail. The hub light goes steady orange.

Reading through the posts this appears now to be an upcoming common occurance.

I know locally they are fitting full fibre telegraph poles. Is this coincidence or related?

Re: Broadband fail also takes out alexa etc.

There is the potential for local works to disrupt things, was this a single failure or have you had more?

The solid orange light suggests a network error between your property and plusnet.

If it happens again I would try the broadband text bot to see if it picks a problem.

If you have a landline phone it might worth checking for noise dial 17070 option 2, if there is noise report a phone fault
