Connected but no internet

I am constantly getting error messages saying I am connected to Wifi but No Internet. How can I fix this permanently.

 

Happening on Windows 10 Laptop and Android (Samsung) smartphone.

Welcome to the forums, @philandjo . Before we get too complicated - how long have you been a PN customer and when did this issue first occur?

Been a customer for a number of years - at least 5. It's started occurring more recently - over the past couple of months. We did do a contract reneal and I wonder whether that's when things changed????

We have Broadband plus a Landline.

Thinking of changing to a Full Fibre connection without a phone line...

Ah, OK, so my first thoughts are out of the window. Next question then: which hub have you got, and what happens to the lights during these episodes?

Your contract renewal will just be coincidental, as that is merely an admin change - unless you changed package at that time?

Is FTTP available to you?

Hub Two. The lights show broadband is connected. I think we can get full fibre.

So the light doesn't change when you have no connection?

If you post the result of BT Broadband , we can confirm FF availability for you. Hide your phone number, though.

Hey @philandjo,

I'm really sorry to hear that you've been experiencing these issues with the connection lately. I've had a look over the account and I can see that the connection dropped a handful of times on Saturday, but seems to have been fine since, as well as having looked okay in the lead up to Saturday. Has anything change with your setup since then and have you noticed any further problems on your end so far this week?
