Cryptic Message on closing a fault report

Yesterday afternoon my normally very stable internet connection had an intermittent problem dropping the connection and then recovering. I spent some time making sure that nothing had changed on my PC and eventually called Plusnet where a very helpful gentleman rapidly established that it was an OpenReach problem and would take 2 working days to get fixed.

I was surprised [and pleased] later on that same afternoon to find that all had returned to normal and the fault report was closed by a message that means nothing to me:-

"Closing ticket as Fault is resolved ***P998 - Automated Process please do not return to EIN***"

Can anyone shed some light on what the fault was - perhaps at the cabinet?

@BobR I doubt it - OR-speak is totally unintelligible, even to OR.

Re: Cryptic Message on closing a fault report

@BobR

Possibly completely wrong, but:

I used to work at BT. Every individual employee had a unique EIN: Employee Identification Number.

As Plusnet is part of BT Group, as is Openreach, PN and OR may also give their staff "EIN's".

So this message could mean that there is no need to refer the fault clear back to an individual person, possibly the one who raised it or who has ownership of it?

JOOI, is the part that you have asterisked out, a 9 digit number?
