it will be good to compare the Technical log >Information for today to the one you posted at the start of the thread.
Also can you export the event log for category all and attach.
Dan

@dsmith1985 Those event log entries are all within your home network - I'll leave Dan to decipher them, but your Technical log would be interesting, as he says.

Thanks for the event log, I'll take a look at them tomorrow (unless someone else wants a go), a quick view looks like you're only using 2.4Ghz wireless, is there a reason for this?
Can you let us know know the total number of device you have and what is connected to the three LAN ports if anything or are you completely wireless.
You mentioned a mesh device, what is the model number?
You probably know speed tests are best performed using a wired connection
Thanks
Dan.

We have
X2 mobile phones when both of us are home
X3 Alexa's
X1 Yoto player ( kids audio book thing )
X2 tablets - when on
X3 TVs - when on max 1 at a time
X1 desktop PC
The mesh router is D-Link DIR‑2660, EXO AC2600 Smart Mesh Wi‑Fi Router - purchased as part of expanding the WiFi range in house. Was part of trying to resolve the issues but also expand WiFi range. Was having problems prior to this purchase. Only thing hard wired to router.
Yes I understand hard wired is a better measure of speed but if your sat next to it it should be 30mbps or close to. But if it's as bad as the above and can't stream Netflix or iPlayer there is a problem.
I disabled 5ghz WiFi awhile back, can't remember why tbh.
Many Thanks
David

Hi @dsmith1985
Thanks for the device list, the thinking behind the full event log is to view the history of your Hub,
From the DSL connection the line has been stable the last two DSL link down I can find are (there are numerous reboots)
04:10:07, 25 Feb. DSL Link Down: duration was 398503 seconds
01:51:01, 14 Feb. DSL Link Down: duration was 539726 seconds
The Hub always syncs about these speeds
22:58:52, 08 Mar. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=34976kbps, Up Rate=5584kbps; SNR Margin Down=7.2dB, Up=6.2dB
04:10:40, 25 Feb. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=34976kbps, Up Rate=5570kbps; SNR Margin Down=7.3dB, Up=6.1dB
14:31:41, 06 Sep. DSL Link Up: Down Rate=34976kbps, Up Rate=5626kbps; SNR Margin Down=7.3dB, Up=6.2dB
If you filter the event log on WIFI you can see the speed a device connection is
18:24:25, 10 Mar. 2.4G Client associate from 60:fb:00:66:80:4e (IP=192.168.1.239) RSSI=-55, Rate=156Mbps, host DESKTOP-3U5T4B4
17:34:05, 08 Mar. 2.4G Client associate from c0:48:e6:ab:5f:70 (IP=192.168.1.135) RSSI=-65, Rate=130Mbps, host Samsung
17:12:09, 08 Mar. 2.4G Client associate from 10:97:bd:37:a3:a0 (IP=192.168.1.112) RSSI=-61, Rate=72Mbps, host
RSSI is the signal strength, -55 is a stronger signal to -65
A check on how busy the wifi in your house might be helpful to see how congested the channels are, try selecting the less busy one, hub two only uses 1,6 and 11. I use android app Network Analyzer by Jiri Techet.
Have you considered turning on the 5GHz wireless? This band is usually less busy than 2.4GHz and you might achieve betters speeds for the devices which can use that frequency, leave the 2.4GHz on.
I would suggest running a BT Performance tester https://speedtest.btwholesale.com/ once the speed test is complete click on 'Advanced Diagnostic'.This test should be run on a wired PC but in your case make sure you're close the the Hub, post the results here.
Are you looking to use the D-Link router for wifi rather than the Hub Two?
HTH
Edit: which speedtest app are you using?

Hi Dan,
Thanks for looking into this, I have posted a speed test (wireless) my wife's work laptop decided it didn't want to work wired or wireless even though showing connected ( another problem to solve )
Speed test showing fine, will have to do this again when there is a problem. I will turn back on 5ghz, I think the reason I turned it off was because of the range issues I was having in our bedroom. rather than keep switching.
I don't live in a busy area (middle of nowhere) therefore I would not have thought it was down to congestion as no new devices have entered the house but I am not ruling it out.
The app I was using is by Eco Mobile, Screenshot attached & also Wi-Fi analyzer showing lack of other networks in area. Could you suggest a speed test, or should I stick with BTWholesale?
Thanks for your help.
David.

Hi Dave
The current BT test does show your connection is as expected compared to the Hubs sync speeds.
I use ookla speed test app on my androids, I compared it to the one you use and they both give the same results, agree when the next event occurs I'd repeat the BT wholesale speed test.
Be interesting if there is any improvement when you switch on 5GHz, the devices in the bedroom should connect to the strongest signal as both 2.4 and 5GHz share the same wireless name.
Dan.
