No or v low sync since Eunice

Out in the rural countryside, my ADSL plods along at around 5-6mb sync speeds, often holding this for weeks or months at a time.
Since Friday, I'm struggling to sync at any speed - when I do see any action, I have very high SNR (15).
I assume my external line is damaged/waterlogged somewhere?

thanks, I saw that. Can appreciate its busy as well.
The bot told me everything is fine, which is obviously not true. I'll give it a day or two.

In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

thanks for the nudge.
I did plug my phone in on the Saturday & got dial-tone (which confused me a bit).
I tried again this morning & it's dead (which confuses me less).
Let's see what the plusnet bot says this time

I'm really sorry to hear you are having ongoing issues with your connection and phone line, as well as any inconvenience this is causing.
I have run a test on your phone line and it is showing an external fault, which I have reported to our suppliers for you. They have given us an estimated response time of 23/02/22 by midnight.
