Hi All - my first post (out of desperation),
I have some WiFi dead areas, and bought a TP-Link AX1800 (Archer AX23) router, which can be part of a mesh system.
I put the Hub2 in bridge mode (pink light), connected to the router, WAN to WAN, with a known-good cat 5e lead, and fired up the router.
WiFi (both flavours) came on, and I connected my Chromebook to the 2.4 GHz and opened the TP-Link setup page. I chose PPPoE and entered my Plusnet credentials (***.plusdsl.net and my Plusnet password).
The router tries to connect, but fails every time - without saying why.
I called both Plusnet and TP-link support, but they didn't know what to do.
My thoughts are: 1) the new router is faulty 2) this particular router isn't compatible with a Hub2 hookup.
I can send it back for a refund or a replacement (but not if it's just not compatible).
If anyone has any thoughts on this I'd be grateful - Tim
Fixed! Go to the fix.

Hi tjw347
It's been a while since I tried Bridge Mode on the Hub2, but I don't think you connect to the WAN port on the Hub 2. I think you should be using one of the LAN ports on the Hub2.

Yes it’s one of the 3 LAN ports. Also VLAN should be off on the tp link router as this is handled by the Hub 2.

Spot on - thank you so much.
fx: slinks off to sit in the dark and wonder why I didn't think of that.
