Using Broadband away from home

Hi All, we are on holiday in Wales but live in Scotland. I believe it is possible for BT customers to use their Broadband accounts away from home. At the moment I have registered for 5 days on a BT Hotspot, that is due to end today. What I wondered was whether it is possible to do similar with Plusnet accounts, i.e. is it possible to use my domestic Plusnet broadband account whilst away from home, a type of remote access? I am not exactly sure how such a mechanism would run but wondered whether it was remotely possible?

@AndyD_OHD In a word, no. Plusnet are a separate company to BT Retail, and also the budget operation of the Group, so there are no 'bells & whistles' with your account.

jab1 is correct PN donot have access to BT hotspots

When I used BT broadband and could use their Hotspots as I allowed other customers to use my hub I found there were very few places I could actually use a hotspot because you use someone's hub and use your BT email address/password as the password  so if there was not a BT customer near by there was no hotspot

I now use PN mobile 30GB U/L mins & texts for £10 a month and use the hotspot on my mobile phone to connect laptop/tablet when we are away at the caravan it works perfectly and 30GB is more than enough for two users for two weeks

If you are not a BT customer the cost of using is very very high

1 day £7.99    5 days £19.99  30 days  £39.00  how much did you pay Andy
