Hi i've noticed that my line path mode has changed from fast path to interleaved and the depth has gone from 12 to 8 on the download but the upload is still fast path. Since this change the data rate has dropped by 10mb, can it be changed back please ive added an attachment

Hey @cafs917, unfortunately, we're unable to control interleaving on your line as you're on FTTC and this is not possible.

Why do you seek a change?
The line is performing way above reasonable expectations.

I just want it put back how it used to be, since the change i've lost between 8-10mb of speed but i'm paying £4 more. also this has happened since the price increase.

Your speed is determined by automatic equipment provided by Openreach. The price you pay is set by Plusnet.
Apart from Plusnet specifying to Openreach the service required for your line, there is no connection whatsoever between the two in terms of the line's performance.

@cafs917 - So looking here @ http://visualradius.plus.net/visualradius/generated/image16894920058854.png your line has been quite unstable and deserves the extra DLM settings like interleaving to make the connection more reliable. I'm seeing you connection is sync'ing at 50Mbps so I don't think interleaving is causing you the problems you describe unless there are a large amount of errors causing the data to be retransmitted but I'm not seeing any errors here. I take it you're doing a speed test over ethernet and not WI-FI?

The router stats posted shows 50mbps SYNC speed at 3.7dB which is asking a great deal without added error correction. The sync speed is way above the max rate for the line.
There is some possibility that usable DATA speed is impacted by retransmission rates. You might obtain a better data rate with a slower sync rate at 6dB.
The real question is what if any discernible difference in the USE of the internet does this difference bring about?
Are you able to correlate those odd periods of multiple drops with any thing happing in the home - use of particular equipment?
