Re: Peak time latency spikes

It is also affecting ptn-ag02 tonight, I had it from 8.30pm to about 10pm and a few others show the same issue on the graphs http://community.plus.net/ping-graphs/

Re: Peak time latency spikes

My ping graph looks quite nasty from 8:30 to 10:30pm but I wasn't really doing anything on the PC and the kids haven't complained so can't say if there was any real effect - I guess my son wasn't gaming at that time (on PCL-AG04 for reference, Fibre Unlimited)
Back to normal now anyway:

Re: Peak time latency spikes

With the on-going latency issue, its a shame that the ping-ers (people who are allowing their graphs to be displayed/monitored live) aren't spread across the servers, so that users can easily see which server is being affected by this problem.
Then again... shouldn't this be something that Plusnet could do, instead of relying on the good members of the Plusnet community to do this for them? (just a thought  Roll_eyes )

Re: Peak time latency spikes

I saw incredibly high ping times this evening too, I'm currently on ptw-ag02.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

At least I know I wasn't the only one having such a bad time last night.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Hi guys,
We'll be doing some more data collection tonight of this issue.  This means we may see a short period (15-30mins) of some latency while we collect data.  We'll have guys on site keeping their eye on the performance to make sure any disruption is minimised.
Sorry about any inconvenience.

Re: Peak time latency spikes

@Kelly It cant be any worse than we have been getting, as long as it helps.  So still on the same gateway ptn-ag02 to see if I get it again tonight.
edit: starting to show now for me at 8.50pm tvcatchup is starting to buffer

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Yep.  Gus and tijara33, you guys are connected on PTN-AG01 or AG02 which is just showing the problem.  We've captured some data and hopefully resolved it.  Feeling better now?

Re: Peak time latency spikes

Kelly - Had my Openreach visit today. Still getting those strange spike issues.
http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,110799.msg955254.html#msg955254
Is it possible that the spikes I have had from late December/early January are linked with the current issues?
I'm on pcl-ag03 as of now (1:19am) but don't know if that was the same gateway I connected to this afternoon after the Openreach engineer left.

No those spikes look like a fault to me!

Re: Peak time latency spikes

I've updated my own thread Kelly.
Seems that the fault is better than ever now Sad
