Bullets don't indent

Bullet pointed lists do not indent. Compare these two identical posts made on here and on the PUG forums (bar a few added lines at the top on here) to see what I mean:

Is that a problem or a matter of preference?

I suspected it was an accidental side effect of something in the CSS. It's not the way I think it's intended to display  in SMF - a list is contained at a lower level within a post. If you quote a post with a list it looks really stupid.
