Playing around with Firefox to sort another problem
Specifically this popup appears on some other sites when using the browser back button
So I enabled it again and that solved it.
However it then caused problems here
If I go to Unread Posts (my default link) then click on an unread post icon, read it, then use the browser back arrow the page doesn't refresh so the post is still shown as unread.
I assume that the problem is hidden in the Forum software.
Any thoughts on a fix

I eventually traced the problem in that I had disabled browser caching
Quote Document Expired
This document is no longer available
etc.
So I enabled it again and that solved it.

Using https usually helps with that particular issue, especially with Firefox.
