Email notifications not working

I'm not getting any email notifications from these forums - why?

Re: Email notifications not working

I've tried a test email to you... and am now enabling replies to this thread for myself.

Re: Email notifications not working

Those have come through. I have been tinkering with changing passwords and profile settings this morning - I wonder if that has changed something? I'll keep an eye on it.
(I didn't get an email for the reply HSNetwork made to the locking thread)

Re: Email notifications not working

Well what was going on I don't know! I can confirm that I received notification of James' post. I also received notification of the new topic he opened earlier this morning (I have Board Notifications turned on for some of the forums).
I suggest this is now moved to closed.

Re: Email notifications not working

I couldnt possibly comment ont he notifications etc. I usually dont bother with them as I found they tend to spam my  inbox once you get a good few people going on the topic lol.

Re: Email notifications not working

The only way to see which topics are set to notify when you are viewing the topic is to hover the mouse over the triangle next to Post Reply when you have the topic open. If the URL includes action=notify;sa=on; then notification is off and clicking it will turn it on. When it says sa=off, notification is already on.
However, if you go to your Profile and select Notifications and Email you get a list of all the topics which have notify switched on as well as a list of the forums for which you have notification on (you turn forum notification on with the triangle to the left of New Topic when viewing the index of an individual forum).
That page also has an option for what forum notifications you get. If you select Replies and Moderation you will get an email every time a new topic is started as well as new replies to any existing topics (even if you have not switched notification on for the topic).
