Forum - "Session verification failed"

Several times this evening I have been getting the following message -

when I click on the "Mark ALL messages as read" link

If I carry on using the forum it seems to work for a while, including marking all messages as read, and then having viewed another handful of threads, the message reappears when I then try marking all messages as read !
Anyone else getting this problem ?  I have never seen it before, and I have not bothered logging out and back in again, as if it was an authentication type issue then it would not be working at all, but instead pressing any forum button works as expected

chris is investigating and it could be related to earlier maintenance work.

I'm 99% convinced it's the earlier maintenance work and have passed the information on a problem to be looked at.
