Re: Forums slow to load.

As an aside, the windows tracert command is formatted a lot better than the Mac OS version.

Re: Forums slow to load.

Thanks for the input everyone.

With the data provided, Lithium are unable to see any issues with the connection to the forums.

There is one other thing we can try though and I would appreciate the input if you have a spare few minutes to give it a try. We want to rule out any kind of browser fault so could you try using the community by putting your browser into safe mode (turns all addons off) and use a private/incognito browser session and see if that makes a difference. If it is noticeably faster or the same, please let me know here. If your browser has developer tools built in, a screenshot of the network tab would be very useful too (like what Jim did).

Thanks

Click on Unread Topic button, speed same as with addons and non incognito mode.

Using Chrome latest stable version.

Re: Forums slow to load.

Thank you everyone for your input.

Lithium have found an issue with the platform and have made some changes that will hopefully alleviate this issue. Can you let me know if you have had any improvements at all in the speed of the community loading?

Re: Forums slow to load.

Not looking too clever @Oldjim @jaread83.  Still quite sluggish and those repeated 500 Server errors must be a concern.

Re: Forums slow to load.

As the OP, I suppose I ought to follow up Embarrassed. Forums seemed to speed up a little over the weekend, but today they seen to have slowed down again.

MOST of the noticeable slowness is accompanied by a 'connecting' message in the forum tab.
