Is this a bug or just Microsoft messing about

When I post or modify a post in Firefox it takes me back to the post but when I do the same thing in IE8 it takes me to the top of the page.
Just to add I am using the IE7pro addin

my Firefox 3.5.5 on Xp takes me back to a new posting, but if I do a Mod report takes me back to index

So Modify is ignoring the Profile setting and always defaulting to Return to Topic?
