Why is this marked as "Fixed" when it clearly isn't

I think someone - no idea who - appreciated my comment about it being due to corporate styling policy Evil

Anyway there seems to be some bugs on the forum now with whatever they've done, I'll just start a thread.

Edit: Interesting to see the difference in the shade between the quote and my post.

Do you think we should un 'fix' this? because it could be misleading when there's still valid debate and discussion to be had. I think "Thanks" will do for this sort of thing in future Cheesy

Some bugs introduced since the text colour update? Or already present? (or don't know either way?)

Re: New community forum feedback

I think Anonymous message 2 was who marked it fixed. There are several other thread about spacing etc, so I don't think it really matters one way or the other.

Re: New community forum feedback

Am I missing something or is there no option to quote part of a message you're replying too?

Re: New community forum feedback

Clicking "quote" in the editor brings in the entire message, then just delete whatever you don't need.

Not sure if there's a snazzier way of doing it or not, someone else might have an idea.

It should only be the original poster who can mark a solution, so it should have been NE and they should also be able to use the 'Post Options' and remove it as the solution.

Post Options shouldn't be flying to the top of the page.. they should be in the top corner of the post.

See message #63 and a few comments before that - it's in hand (we hope).

Re: New community forum feedback

[quote]

Hey everyone,

In response to the text colour of post text, we've changed this to a darker shade. It's not black, but it is an AAA compliant colour - so hopefully we've found a balance between legibility and corporate colours.

[/quote]

Despite Old Jim`s post immediately after... saying "Much Improved"... I really can`t see "that" much difference... The main text area, i.e. the subject of the post/reply, is still in a "grey" mode... whereas on the outer edges, the stuff you don`t really read/need, ( information about the writer of the reply/post and other instructions )..  is in "proper" black text...  so why can`t ALL the text be in "proper" BLACK ?

EDIT... after Old Jim`s post 73....  It appears that my screen is showing the outer text in "proper black" because I am using "stylish" solution... which worked on ALL grey text ....but since the whizz kids have changed it, it does not work on the "main body" in replies to posts...

Perhaps we should read into these " Corporate Coloiurs Scheme " that maybe PlusNet has something "shady" about them  ? ? ? ?   and nothing on here is actually "black and white" for those reasons  ?

Very often, the term "it`s a shady area" is used to cover up some undesirable attributes, so lets get some "proper" corporate colour scheme, where "doing us proud" includes it also being in Black & White  to emphasise the good intentions of the Corporate Plusnet Mantra...

Yeah, But..... this used to be a choice on the previous forum, on the same page as the reply.... now it is "kinda" hidden and unless you have asked, or been told, where to find the "quote" button, it is not obvious.... I would have thought this was a vital thing to be displayed next to the "reply" button, as it can take forever to work things out on a very small screen of a mobile phone,... nigh on impossible to find it .... so it would be "snazzier" to have it next to the "reply" button, would it not  ? ? ?

Re: New community forum feedback

As an aside - you can't use BB code for quotes

Back on subject

On my screen the text colour of the post text is definitely darker than the information about the poster

Re: New community forum feedback

Ok...understood about the [quote]

(now I have found the "proper way" to do that ! ! ! !)....  ( see following post ) Cheesy

Ah..yes... so... since I used a "Stylish" solution to getting "proper" black text on here.... the whizz kids have stymied that, and only the outer edges are now showing "proper black"... so that would explain it..

I did check, ( after your post ) that the "stylish" solution did, indeed change those "outer" texts to "proper black" .. will make an "dit"  note on my other post about it
