What is the point of having the entire website, and all of its individually fetched page elements, all transferred by https ?
Yes, by all means use https for personal profile pages, and login screens, but for the rest of this PUBLIC forum it is not necessary to encrypt every single thing.
By using https, it prevents local caching of web pages, avatar images, icons, fonts, etc,
and therefore increases page load times and uses more data bandwidth, as everything has to be fetched with each page change.
Local caching of websites is essential for those of us on very slow internet connections, or are using PAYG data plans on mobile services.
So please make all the page assets normal http !

I'm talking about transparent proxy caching between the internet connection, and the computers using that connection.
