Re: Text/Background Contrast

I notice that at the base of this page, it says that the website is powered by SMF and on their website there is a letter which pronounces that they are about leave this siting at the end of this year!
They are saying that software has come on so much since they first offered their service in 2004 !
What has Plusnet to say about that.....and what are they proposing to do about it?
Further thoughts..
I also subscribe to a Forum which gives all visitors a selection of displays.
Is this possible with ours here?
BTW, the forum I refer to is on the 'Synthzone Forum'.

Re: Text/Background Contrast

When I saw your post I was expecting the announcement to be end of life for SMF 1.1 which is what these forums use, but no it's for 1.0!
Shame as it might have bounced PN in to updating these forums to 2.0 which has some really good things like WYSIWYG editing.

Re: Text/Background Contrast

That's interesting , jelv.
By wysiwyg does that also mean changing the background colours?

Re: Text/Background Contrast

Thanks jelv
Unfortunately, it looks as if there is no facility for changing the background colour.

Re: Text/Background Contrast

Jelv, did you see SMF thought on the 1.0 series?
Quote
Anyone still using a 1.0 release should investigate migrating to SMF 1.1 or SMF 2.0, which will continue to receive support for the forseeable future. We highly recommend a migration to our 2.0 series as updates for the 1.1 series is limited to security updates only.
These days, the SMF 1.0.x line is very outdated, even though it still receives security patches. Hardly any sites still use it, and we rarely if ever receive support requests for it. Since it is almost completely irrelevant to SMF users these days, we have decided to recognize that it has reached the end of its working life, and put our effort towards other things that are more useful to our users.

Re: Text/Background Contrast

I did, and that quote is the thoughts of SMF on 1.1, its not going to be updated and only has security fixes, best to go to 2.0
