This morning it is even worse - posting or moderating is getting very difficult

Sending PMs has been excruciatingly slow most of the time as well in the last 2 days!

When I try to submit a post, I (literally) get the following message more often than not:
Network Error (tcp_error)

A communication error occurred: "" 
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time. 
For assistance, contact your network support team. 
.. every day.  Kinda irritating.  Can often take 10 or more attempts before it works - fortunately, it doesn't lose the text so it's just a case of keep hitting the Post button

Well I've not noticed any real improvement today, I've even had a "connection was reset" on a PM just now.

problem:81869 raised.  We aren't seeing the firewall IP mismatch stuff any more, but we're still seeing the performance issues

I sometimes think that your inability to see the problem does not reflect the non-existence of the problem!

I think it's been like that since you undid the fix for it. Did you think it had somehow fixed itself, or did you do some work some other time to fix it and not tell anyone?

It's very weird - this morning I could not access the forums from any browser. It just read "waiting on xxx" in the status bar.
If I used wget to grab any page, that worked fine without any issues. I tried that 6 or 7 times.
