Thanks again @jab1 (for donning a deerstalker (pipe optional) :)). I can tick FF from the list then!!
Hmm, I only tend to read the forums via the recent posts page, but only for posts I may wish to read, so that can put me in different sections - whereby it's slow.
Though when I replied above, once it loaded I did the edit, then signed out, which defaults to the home page. This took 30ish seconds again to fully load. Had to wait for the usual URL's to load (as posted pages back).
The current listed speeds on my H6 are showing 31.94 and 2.06Mbps, so doubt the speed is the issue either...?

I only follow the boards I'm interested in - General Chat, ADSL, Community Feedback, Mail and return to them periodically after being elsewhere on the web, Reloading the forum to refresh the content is as near instant, but as said previously, loading individual boards results in a slight 'waiting for community.plus.net' delay - usually 3-5 seconds.
Your line speed isn't the issue - mine is much lower at 9.92 and 0.86.

Hmm, guess I may need to revise how I lurk on here then.
I'm not getting that quick response, puts me off being here when it's really bad.
If my delay was only 3-5secs I could cope with that.
But then, if I go to mobile data (tethering this laptop) is perfectly fine - kinda rules out my laptop as a root cause.
Like you say, speed can't be the factor either
Hey ho, back to 'why'

Conversely on my laptop using Edge I can see the screen being drawn, ‘scribbled’ in, shifted around and then being cleaned up. That has all been reported well before Jack left and it still remains an issue.
I suggest that everyone posting experiences here identifies the browser and environment in use (including version). Elsewhere I have recently experienced an issue where a web page fully renders on all environments except Safari in iOS 9 (Mk2 iPads). That same technology shows issues on Galaxy browsers in that one if the mandatory input fields having specific validation constraints could not be entered at all.
With complex web pages and differing browser technology “It works fine for me” is no assurance it works fine for everyone.
In another browser tab, login into the Plusnet user portal BEFORE clicking the fault & ticket links

Thanks for that Townman :), makes perfect sense.
Though, as I pointed out, moving this laptop to 4G data, and the issues are not there...?
But guess my browser or the settings/addons on it could be playing some part.
I only spotted Jack was 'moving on to pastures new' when I noticed his ID was in bold black text late last night / earlier on, depends how you look at it. Clicked on it to see why :(. But he's done it for himself, so for that he gets a tip from my hat.

Hmmm? Out of the blue this morning I've had a couple of 'Connection has timed out" from community.plus.net. Other sites I'm working with seem unaffected.

Welcome to my (occasional) world!!
(I can't blame the hub one either, as I'm on a H6 now. 4G seems to be fine with the same browser. Others out there see the same. The forum server is now back in the UK. Tracert results do sometimes show oddities. So, for those with issues, the common factor is the network.... hmm?)

@DS As I think I have pointed out earlier in this thread, my experience (slow loading after clicking a board header) occurred over different browsers, different hardware and different networks. I was fortunate in January to be able to test various combinations, and they all exhibited the same behaviour.
The current situation is the same as prompted my experiments, although it is nowhere near as horrendous as it was back then.
If the situation is unchanged come May, when I can repeat the same experiments at the same locations, I will report back.

The PINGDOM reports I posted earlier in this topic all show varying long delays from community.plus.net and DNS rsponses. In one case several DNS responses were in the 500 - 800 ms range with the longest being a massive 1140 ms?
In need of some network investigation independent of the browser / display issues?

Ditto (I think it's on this thread), well almost
I don't get the slowness/oddities on 4G, just via the PN network.
Please, report away!! Shows I'm not going mad!
(just find it odd that (eg) JonoH doesn't see it - is it us, do we lurk too much!)

Not entirely unexpected @DS. Connections within Plusnet Towers are all already inside the Plusnet network with much improved access. To truly simulate the User experience needs access to external lines and these will (probably) be only available to the Network team?
This could suggest that at least part of the problem is within the BT Wholesale network, though slow DNS and response delays are more likely to be server based issues.

The above reply was aimed at @jab1
@MauriceC here's my problems
When I use tracert to here (or anywhere for that matter) hop3 can and does time out. These are to 137.hiper and 141.hiper within the PN network
@Kelly was made aware of this on an Xbox thread. He was aware that 141.hiper was mentioned in the office earlier that day - about 3-4 weeks ago now. He, to date, has not come back to that thread, so I don't know if this was ever looked at.
Also, my auto allocated DNS is pointing to Plusnets SafeGuard settings (primary 213.120.234.42 and secondary 213.120.234.38 and not 212.159.6.10 and 212.159.6.9), although I don't and have never had this active.
@adamwalker advised me on a ticket that SafeGuard's DNS should not be affecting me, but nobody could explain why the 'system' gave those DNS settings to me. If the 'system' moved me back to where it should be, then at least I can tick this off too.
Other than that, if the 'hipers' and 'DNS' are not the cause, the only other thing is a gremlin in the network. If it was the same on 4G, then at least I could blame something that I've done, but atm I can't see what 'it' is...

@MauriceC Probably BT related, although a couple of the other connections I tried earlier in the year were Virgin. Not much good though, I suppose, if it has to go back to PN, who are obviously on BT.

Another thought struck me as I walked out of the door just after posting the above :- in my case, the only discernible delay is from clicking board header to the board opening - would that be a 'forum' i.e Lithium, problem, rather than anything downstream of them?
