Re: own picture as avatar

Viewing the source code for the blank box where your avatar should be is:
<img src="http://www.music2myears.plus.com%5Chtdocs%5Cfishing.jpg" alt="" class="avatar" border="0">

%5C is a back slash
Replacing the back slashes with forward slashes we see:

Even if it did work it's no good considering the forum rules:
[quote=http://community.plus.net/forum/index.php/topic,218.0.html#post_avatar]Avatars and Signatures
The forum moderators reserve the right to ask any member to change their Avatar and/or Signature, should they feel that it is inappropriate, or does not comply with the following guidelines;
Avatar size should be limited to 80 x 80 pixels and a maximum file size of 40kB
Yours is 1280 x 960 and 321kB

OK understood but I haven't been asked to change  it by the supreme commanders!
BTW, why is it that I cannot see your avatar in your post, only the dreaded silly red star!!!

Re: own picture as avatar

I use 2 browsers, at the moment I am using IE8
but I use sometimes Firefox, not as often as before it decided to dispense with "Fast Dial"
An earlier thread of mine referred to this unfortunate occurrence when dratted Firefox dispensed with Fast Dial without my permission  Wink and I had to resurrect all my bookmarks when going back to Bill Gates  Cool

Re: own picture as avatar

The link was wrong, it was too big and depending on the browser you either saw nothing at all or an enormous picture or one apparently the correct size
