Viewing the source code for the blank box where your avatar should be is:

Replacing the back slashes with forward slashes we see:

I use 2 browsers, at the moment I am using IE8
but I use sometimes Firefox, not as often as before it decided to dispense with "Fast Dial"
An earlier thread of mine referred to this unfortunate occurrence when dratted Firefox dispensed with Fast Dial without my permission
and I had to resurrect all my bookmarks when going back to Bill Gates
