That depends on why they are "missing".
Which brand of email are you using?
Can you see any emails from before 20th April?
If you are using one of the legacy brands, was your mailbox full? If yes, then your email senders should have received non-delivery notifications - and should have tried to resend. However such recovery processes tend to expire after 5 days.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
