Fetch?

In the past few days possibly longer when I bring up my webmail it is taking ages to load then "unable to send fetch command" pops up.

This annoys me no end.

What does it mean, and why is it happening please?

Re: Fetch?

I don't have email in my phone and I don't have it on my Ipad either.  The Ipad is the only place I use webmail now that I don't leave the country anymore that is.  I only use the Ipad when downstairs.   Upstairs where my study is, and my desktop p.c. with tower is where I do all the important stuff as I use Microsoft Office Outlook email, which I have had on all of my computers since 1989?  I love it.  I couldn't live without my p.c and the internet.

Thanks for all your help 💕💕👍

The iPad email application is fairly good certainly better than Webmail.  If its an iPhone its identical.  So why not use them?  The only reasonable answer which comes to mind is that you've chosen to use POP3 on your PC.  In this day and age, possibly not the best approach.

WIFI should reach throughout most of your house so you could use it anywhere!

Re: Fetch?

I'm sorry just forgot to get back to you.  I don't want email on my phone, and as far as my ipad is concerned, I agree email would be better than webmail, however, it is too difficult to set up regardless of what I have tried it does not seem to like my plusnet email whixch is my email address on my MS Outlook.

If you care to share the challenge you’ve encountered I’m sure we can help. Compared to “new” outlook, setting up email on an apple device is a doddle.

Re: Fetch?

I am not an Ipad fan all my important stuff is done on my main PC which is upstairs when I'm diwnstairs in my conservatory I use the Ipad for facetime and non important stuff.

The problem I have when Ipad email is open it shows all the different email clients as you know, then when prompted I select Outlook, I then put my normal plusnet email add in and it refuses to recognise it, so after numerous tries I gave up. My Outlook is Office 2010.   I didn't set my original email when I got my PC years ago and have no idea how to set it up as this was done for me.   You coukd be right it might be pop, but I am now 75 and lije life simpler these days

I am no fan of Appke so my mobike is not an Iphone.

Re: Fetch?

That is a sad outlook. The apple technology is pretty good, especially the in built email application. I have an Amazon tablet and the android mail applications are in comparison utterly naff.

Mail on apple devices can present the content of all mailboxes, or just each one, depending on what you select in the application.

Accounts are configured in SETTINGS and they then appear in the email application. I’m not surprised that you are having difficulty with non-apple software.
