I understand that at some point Plusnet will stop hosting domains.

I understand that at some point Plusnet will stop hosting domains. Is there any concrete info around dates? Also could anyone advise me on the process to move it and how long it takes and recommend any hosting companies to move it to. I only care about using it for email. I would like to be able to carry on using it like I do now, which is I have 2 actual mailboxes and also have my primary mailbox set as the catchall so <anything>@mydomain goes to my primary mailbox except for the the emails that should go to the second mailbox e.g. secondmailbox@mydomain. In case it makes a difference it is a .co.uk domain.

There is nothing official announced so need to assume that things will continue until something is said, if anything.

@mrwizard

Until something is announced it is all speculation so you can continue as before.

However, it is wise to research how to move domains so that you're ready and able to move either at a time of your choice or when (if?) PN pull the plug on Domains.

Feels like more than speculation. When my email domain stopped working on Saturday the customer service person pretty much said they are moving people to another provider. It still isn't working....

@ianmcg

It may be heading that way but there's been no announcement as yet as far as I know.

@mrwizard

Did you get this sorted?  It was (is?) more likely that the domain name has expired than there being an issue with the mail service.

Check the status of the domain on Nominet.  Which email brand is this?

Re: I understand that at some point Plusnet will stop hosting domains.

I was not ever asking as I was having any issues. But rather in response to being told on the phone that Plusnet will be stopping the hosting of domains.
