Outlook cant connect to SMTP server

Hi

This is my first post as had a flawless experience with plusnet since they started. My issue is that all of a sudden Im unable to send any emails via Outlook on my laptop or Mail on iPhone or the Samsung equivalent, so its not an application error.

This is the error and I have done everything I can find on the internet to try and fix.

Error code 0x800CCC0F

I can send via webmail fine.

I have double checked and triple checked settings and they are all the same as they used to be.

If i disconnect from the  home WiFi and use 4G then it works fine so the settings are obviously ok.

I even swapped to a new Plusnet router they sent me and for about an hour it worked ok but has now reverted to stopping anything i try and send via WiFi.

I have read about IP addresses being blocked or blacklisted, how can i get this resolved if this is the case. To my way of thinking this is more likly the culpret as when i use 4G which has a completely different IP then it works.

Plusnet just tell me they dont support "3rd party" apps and if i can use webmail then thats as far as they are willing to go with it.

Look forward to your replies.

Re: Outlook cant connect to SMTP server

There's quite a few articles out on the internet that may help, try searching for "outlook error code 0x800ccc0f"

Basically, it's saying that it tried to make the connection, which takes several steps, and one of them had some sort of problem.
