Check your Router Logs for regular disconnections in the early morning ...

For quite a long time I have noted that I suffer far too frequent disconnections, almost always in the early hours of the morning. For example (read these lines in reverse order):

[Time synchronized with NTP server] Wednesday, Sep 08,2021 01:44:07
[Internet connected] IP address: {xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx}, Wednesday, Sep 08,2021 01:41:46
[Internet disconnected] Wednesday, Sep 08,2021 01:34:52

Ordinarily this may not matter, but as I host several sites from my office, it does cause a discontinuity of service.

Perhaps other users might care to examine their router logs, and report whether there are others suffering disconnection at the same time?

Any comments from PlusNet?

Many thanks,

KASpencer

Brief overnight disconnections are often caused by BT maintenance of the infrastructure.

Thanks for reaching out @kaspencer

Based on the infrastructure itself, drop outs can happen from time to time unfortunately. In your case though, I'd say that overall, the line is fairly stable, and prior to today's brief drop out, has been stable for 15 Days with 0 drop outs. Smiley

If you see these increasing though, feel free to reach out and we'll certainly have a look.
