You said "small OR pit in our cul-de-sac which only has 5 properties"
This is where OR will install the CBT - a 6 port version. From there a single cable will work backwards to an OR Aggregation Point in another chamber. The fibre cable may (probably won't) not go anywhere near the FTTC cabinet.

ICBW, but I suspect OR don't use 6 port CBTs, so it'll likely be an 8-port.
