@Philip8 Welcome to the forums. If you already have Norton installed, why would you need to install another instance of the same product?

It's free with full fibre so just need to know if I can logon to my old account as I already have passwords saved in my Norton vault

I am aware that it may be 'free with FF', but as you already have the product installed, there is no point, and possible issues, in installing a second instance.

A couple of thoughts.

The Nortons plusnet provide may not be the same product as the paid for version and is very likely to have reduced features compared to the paid version.

Your username would probably be associated with your paid Nortons account and may result in you paying anyway.

I would compare the two products to see which fits your needs
