Predicament – old F9 websites & associated email vs new Plusnet contract

Have been with force 9/Plusnet for a very long time.
Happy with the service from F9 and Plusnet, so not looking to move.
However, I would now like a Plusnet broadband contract as I am currently out of contract and the monthly bill (which is now expensive) is paid for by work, but I would like to retire soon.
However, I have 2 legacy websites with vital email accounts originally set up on F9.
One is a .com with the domain registration by Dotster, but the website (now defunct) and associated email accounts (still in daily use) hosted on F9. The second is a small .org.uk website registered and hosted by F9 which is for a small motorcycle owners club that I help run.
The predicament is….if I go for a current Plusnet fibre contract, would I lose access to and use of these 2 legacy websites and (more importantly) their associated email accounts?
I am thinking of moving both websites elsewhere, but would like advice on the pros and cons of initially sorting out a new monthly broadband Plusnet account.
Hope this makes sense.

It makes no difference to your account whether you're on a contract or not - it only affects your bank balance.
You could call the PlusNet Customer Options Team on 0800 013 2632 just to confirm things if you want.

Thanks for the quick response.
I maybe out of contract, but I still log in via Force 9.
If i take out a new contract (and lower monthly payments), then i was told i would have to take out a Plusnet one.
When i thought about this a few years ago, i was given the impression that Plusnet contracts do not allow web hosting and that I would lose access to both sites and their associated email accounts.
However, Plusnet CS staff do not seem to know much about legacy F9 customers and/or old web hosting.
Hence why i am double checking on here before checking with the options team.
Thanks for any help and advice...

@Kangoo265 I'm afraid both of those are correct, its not been possible to take out a new contract on an F9 account for some time now.

Yes
I am thinking of moving both websites elsewhere, but would like advice on the pros and cons of initially sorting out a new monthly broadband Plusnet account.
That would be my advice, I'd suggest looking at Mythic Beasts https://www.mythic-beasts.com/hostinghttps://www.mythic-beasts.com/hosting . Their basic Web 25 package is £30/yr (if paid annually or £3/month). You can host multiple domains and unlimited mailboxes on each domain, subject to the 5GB disk space and 100GB monthly traffic bandwidth (which is probably greater than the F9 limits!).
Once you've got that setup, then you can move your broadband account to a Plusnet contract (or anywhere else for that matter!)
Shout up if you need more info.

Cheers MisterW...that seems to answer my question.
Was hoping i had got it wrong...but it seems my worries are correct.
I have checked out Mystic Beasts and will look at moving the .org.uk club website first I think.
I am not that up on the technical details, but have found some good advice on these forums. However may be back for some more advice soon.

@Kangoo265 Mythic have a really good detailed guide here https://www.mythic-beasts.com/support/domains/transfer-no-downtime
There's only one fly in the ointment to that 'no downtime' procedure with a Plusnet/F9 hosted domain, that's the last two steps 7 & 8. You can't change the nameservers on a PN/F9 hosted domain. So you have to do it in the reverse order, you transfer the domain registration to Mythic then switch to the Mythic nameservers. Transferring the registration SHOULDNT change the nameservers but I think the PN/F9 systems may well end the hosting (and use of the nameservers) once the registration transfers (although I don't think its instantaneous). So you have to be prepared to switch nameservers ASAP as soon as the registration transfers.
NB if you use IMAP to access your email, dont forget you will need to copy existing emails from the old server to the new.
