I want out of my plusnet contract - which still has a year to run.
on the internet I found this:
https://www.broadband.co.uk/providers/plusnet/broadband/how-to-cancel-plusnet-broadband
and there's a section midway down titled:
A notice for Plusnet customers who signed up after 17 June 2022
I singed my plusnet contract september 2023, do I fall into this category to enable me to leave plusnet without penalty?
Fixed! Go to the fix.

If you didn't hear from BT , you are probably not eligible for a penalty-free cancellation, but as it also says in that article, you could call PN (0330 123 9123) to confirm.
Why do you want to cancel?

I now have 1Gb pure fibre cables in my street and its symetrical broadband for the same price per month as plusnet on openreach.
plusnet speeds are no-where near this. not even in the race.
I want out.

Then place an order with that supplier, but be prepared to pay ETC's.

I rang plusnet support only to find I don't qualify for contract termination without penalty.
one day I will leave plusnet and never ever ever go back.
I'm so disappointed to be stuck for another year with this useless stone-age internet company.

From your previous posts, I suspected you may have found that.
What is Stone-age about Plusnet?

I get about 19mb/sec on a good day, thats stone-age.
but there might be a silver lining - I'm currently talking to another provider and they do buy-out's for new customers. there's a bound to be a catch somewhere but I think I'm going with it.

The speed you're receiving is nothing to do with PN or any other ISP who uses the OpenReach network. It is down to OR who provide the connection to their network.
What AltNet is available to you?

Fair enough - if they can provide the speed you desire, then move.

@neuronetv bear in mind that, unless your new supplier is providing a voip service on your existing phone number, then they will not automatically cancel your Plusnet service. You will need to cancel that yourself.
Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.
