I am new to plusnet and need an rDNS record associated with my static IP. There is no option to do that via the portal (this should be considered), and I need someone to help me.
The relevant records have already been created with my DNS provider.
I appreciate any help you can provide.

Hi @phillipmcmahon, are you looking for what the rDNS is called or do you already have this? All I can see from your account is the IP address & mask, reason for activation and the name for the rDNS.

I need to set my rDNS to myemail.phillipmcmahon.com
The A record is already configured with my DNS provider.
Please let me know what other information you need.

Aaaah I got you, I can get a task raised so our Info Ops Team can get this sorted out for you. Can you reply directly to this ticket here: https://www.plus.net/wizard/?p=view_question&id=241141140 , just to confirm you give permission for the records to be updated and what you're looking to update to.
Once I've got this, I'll get the task raised for you which will take 5 working days to complete.

Superb, thanks for the speedy response and action.
My previous ISP exposed this functionality directly in the customer portal. I could set the reverse DNS entry for every static IP under my account.
Is this something you would consider implementing?

It is something I'll feed back for you, I'm not sure how likely this would be implemented just because it's a service that not many people use anymore so in the grand scheme of things, it makes sense to keep sending them off to Net Ops. But I will 100% suggest it for you.
