Hi
I have had this issue ever since having plusnet and i have reported it a few times once where a engineer came out to house.
My Internet randomly cuts out for around 5-10 mins a time, the engineer thought it was a extension and old 1 socket connection that was issue so they changed to new 2 socket and removed the extension to main socket but the problem is still there so i thought maybe its plusnets routers that are issue so i bought myself a Asus router and a Draytek modem but to my surprise (not really) the issue is still there where i get a random disconnect along the line and bear in mind at this point the wire to my modem is brand new, the 2 socket master socket is fairly new which your engineer installed and yet im told there is no issue with line to house and its the equipment in the house which at this point everything is brand new and have tryed other modems including plusnets personal own router and yet i have never not had the random disconnect issue at all. So im beginning to think there is in fact a issue with the line to house as everything in the house has been taken off by the engineer and replaced with brand new equipment.

@Croger Assuming you are using a Plusnet Hub1, can you post screen shots of (1) your Hubs Help Desk page - with personal info obscured (2) your Event log LAN page and (3) your event log WAN page? Might give us a clue. Also, do the lights on the Hub change during these events?

Hey @Croger,
I'm really sorry to hear about this. I've tested your line this morning and whilst I can't locate a fault, I can see the connection has dropped out a few times this week. Have you had the chance to set the router up within the test socket in the property to see if this makes any difference? For reference, we have a guide on how to do this here.

@Edinburgh_wg thanks for that prod - i was obviously not awake when I posted, but if the OP still has the PN gear, that is much easier to interpret.

I can try and use the test socket but this master socket im using now was installed by engineer and while he did the test's it also cut out for him as he thought there wasnt a issue and then it happened luckily for him to see so i dont think using the test socket will help? ill try though

the model is Draytek Vigor130 VDSL/ADSL modem (uses ADSL2) not sure how to look at stats with the draytek honestly since i just got it.
something to remember iv been using the PlusNet hub all this time and a engineer came to investigate and change master socket to a brand new one but the problem has always persisted hence why i got the ASUS RT-AX56U and the Draytek Vigor 130 to test if it still occurs with none plusnet routermodem and it still does

the last post on page 2 is a update from me saying what the engineer had done and that the problem is still happening and it went ignored

@Croger Sorry for the late reply - had a phone call as you posted and a couple of other things on the go. Have you still got the Hub1? I appreciate it is a pain switching equipment, but it would be nice to see the readable logs from there if the situation is continuing.
From your original log above it seems as you had a problem upstream of you as you were losing the PPP session - can you tell fro your current setup if this happening again?

The Asus has logs but only went as far back as 5am but ill keep it open for when it happens again and hopefully i can catch the logs for it, the draytek doesn't appear to have a log cacher >_<
no worries about the late reply at all real life comes first and this is something that happens at random, its alot less than it used to be but still happend every other day at least

OK - if it happens again, post as full a log report as you can, hopefully catching the data before and after the event.

Thanks. Horrible logs that don't tell you much useful information, but it does appear that yo lost connection to the internet. Are there any earlier entries?

Thanks for getting back to us with further info @Croger. I've had a look over the connection logs this morning and I can't see that there have been any drops since you'd made your last post in this thread. Have you had any issues since then?
