Download speeds slower than contracted, but upload speed normal

My contract with plusnet says I will get 900mb to 1gb download speeds. I am currently getting 20 to 30mbs. But I am getting about 70mb upload speed.

Is this normal? Will this be fixed by Plusnet?

Which Hub are you using, are these observed speeds wired or wireless.

Speedtest should where possible be performed using a wired connection or failing that very close to the router if wireless.

Between the Openreach ONT and router is the network cable your are using cat5e or better. cat5 will limit the speed to 100mbps
