Re: FTTP Fixed IP

With a static IP, you're being tunnelled through our L2TP network I believe, and that will add a small amount of overhead.

@bobpullen @Gandalf

Do I need to request the 'fix' for my static IP (lost during FTTC -> FTTP upgrade) or will it return at some point automagically?

Re: FTTP Fixed IP

@alungd, Done. Well, I've refreshed the full fibre component on your account so your static IP can now be assigned but you'll need to turn your router off and on. Smiley

From 31st October 2022, I no longer have a regular presence here as I’ve moved on to a new role.

Re: FTTP Fixed IP

@bobpullen I installed a brand new pFsense router last night in place of my TP Link, still saying I have a dynamic IP on the PN page but at least it does say I *SHOULD* have a FIP on the add ons page. However even if I feed the IP address into the shops router to create the IPSEC tunnel, it fails to connect. Is there some ports being blocked?

Gotta LOL tho, on the `historic` fixed ip hidden page, it appears I now have 3 entries for fixed IP`s!!

Re: FTTP Fixed IP

How do I go about getting this refresh done on my account please.  I'm in the same boat, no fixed IP after a messy upgrade path to FTTP.

Hello @samunderhill, thanks a lot for getting in touch. I've just clicked a few buttons on my end, so give your router a reboot and let me know how you're getting on.

No ports are blocked assuming you do not have the server-side Plusnet firewall enabled on your account.

Re: FTTP Fixed IP

Hi!  I have a FTTP order in progress (due to be connected next week).  However, I too seem to have lost my static IP on my CURRENT plus.net connection!  It still shows as existing in the plus.net account pages, but it no longer appears on my connection.

Help!

Re: FTTP Fixed IP

@bobpullen pFsense box rebooted, in fact powered off, no joy still says dynamic. How about the ONT reboot?
