How to improve WiFi speeds

Hi all, 

A few days ago, we had OpenReach install full fibre in our property and we are on the Full Fibre 300 package. However, we are struggling with very slow speeds. Our house has 2 floors and our offices are not directly near where the fibre socket was installed, so we get about 3-9 Mpbs download speeds and the signal is weak in my office.

How can we boost the performance? We had regular non-fibre broadband before and the speeds were faster than this!

That sounds totally strange. Can you take a laptop to as close as possible to the Hub/router as possible, and see what speeds you get on that? To be honest, even if you are a normal distance away from the hub - next room, or even one floor up, you should be getting way over your reported '3-9 Mb/s' speed.

Are you using the same Hub, and are all the lights behaving as they should?
