Just a thought , USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 ? USB 2.0 is going to be limited to around 480Mb

Yes, thats fine, but what about the capability of the USB port on the Macbook ?

fast its a pretty new macbook pro

everthing was running great past 4/5 years on a  FTTP 300 profile,  rock solid 320Mbps wired/wifi.

 

Ive been out of contract for a good couple years. on Halo price promise thing,   how i got the deal im not sure £29.99 with Halo,

any time I spoke to sales time, they could never offer better,

 

price been creeping up with inflation every year,    so I called, to check it out and they offered 900,    as not working as expected im not tied to any contract etc,

I did try to connect. macbook direct to ont.   but I guess its not that simple,

You need to set up a PPPoE session to replace the routers authentication with Plusnet
