Static IP assigned rDNS pointing to unknown domain

I've had a real problem setting up my static IP.

Firstly I couldn't activate it, the first call didn't get any results, the second I've been assigned a static IP that already has a PTR record to a custom domain set up.  I've been told now that this will take up to 3 days for the network team to sort out. Not cool really.

Hopefully this can be sorted really soon as it is rather irritating.

I've just been informed by support that Plusnet no longer support custom domains on PTR records for their static IP's

This is something that should have been communicated as their documentation and online searches indicate that this is something they continue to support.  It was one of the reasons that I chose to subscribe to Plusnet in the first place and I feel a bit disgruntled now.
