Hello.
When i try using the same password on the 5 Ghz band nothing will connect, laptop, mobile phones, firestick. They will only connect to the 2.4 Ghz band.

Very strange, because the advice I gave is the standard one - from people with more experience in these matters than me. Have they connected to 5Ghz previously?

Yes they have, but today i have had a lot of problems with my line connection, had to do several resets of my WiFi connection on the hub and the Plusnet techies are monitoring my line overnight. They have raised a ticket on my line problems, just have to wait and see what it is like tomorrow.

OK, but note my comment re the password. It helps, BTW, if you give all relevant information when you raise a query.

Hi @OldFrank
I'm sorry to see you can't connect to the 5GHz wireless band.
Could you find out what firmware your router's on? If you go to your router's settings at http://192.168.1.254 and at the bottom you'll see the 'software version'. Let me know what this says as I suspect you may not be on our latest version.

Hello.
I am on the latest version firmware: 4.7.5.1.83.8.263.
The problem seems to be that the 2.4ghz overrides the 5ghz on all of my devices. my devices can see the 5ghz band but cant connect to it, which is a shame because I am on the 80mbs fibre. The only way to connect to the 5ghz is to disable the 2.4ghz which seems a bit senseless.
