Hi entropy456 ask for a static ip address or you can do it your self it costs £5 to change but is instant and has worked for me and others who have done it. or ask for it to be changed and wait till its done. I am hoping for a refund as the problem seems to be plusnets and not mine. Hope its sorted soon and you can get some game time in

Is the best place to ask for the static IP here in this thread? If so - I am requesting a static IP for the plusnet account efreckmann!

I am not interested in paying £5 for an issue which undoubtedly appears to be Plusnet.

They may do it here if you ask or maybe give them a call and explain the situation and they im sure do it for you free as yes i agree it is a plusnet problem. Reading some of the comments the staff here have done it for people. good luck
on a sidenote reading some of the comments on here i must say the plusnet staff have been quick to respond and are doing a great job

Are you still having issues with WoW now?

Reason I ask is PlusNet have said on this thread that they have made some changes, so it would be good if you can confirm whether these have made any difference to yourself.

If not, then maybe a member of staff can help.

I paid to have my ip changed to static and not had a problem since game is working fine so i couldn't tell if the fix they have put in is working or not i hope so then you can play without any hassle as i know its so annoying. Good luck

It would probably help PlusNet if people who were having problems, and haven't changed to a static IP, can post back and tell us if they are still having them.

PlusNet said the fix was difficult to test within the office, so I guess all they really need is some people to let them know if what they've done has worked.

I can confirm that after the changes Plusnet made last night I was still experiencing disconnects from World Of Warcraft. I'm not sure if this is coincidental but I'm also experiencing disconnects from Elders Scrolls Legends which up util now has been faultless. I've switched to a static IP now - Hopefully that's the magic bullet. Plusnet, If you could wave the charge for this it would be appreciated.

rincewind81 Hi ive not had a problem with the game since i changed so i hope you find its working too. And yes i agree with the refund or not charging at all would be great as when it comes down to it its a plusnet problem and not wow or customers

Just to confirm that I am still having issues this morning.

I'm glad to hear the static IP seems to fix the issue but I'll wait until I hear something from a plusnet representative before I purchase it.

Thanks for people who replied after my last post.

It sounds like it hasn’t worked (I assume the fix has been made into production?), The static IP is just a workaround from the issue.

Staff may ask people who are still having problems for more information.
