Disable 1571 help

My phone doesn't support 1571 voicemail. How can I turn off this feature. I've tried online but it's not selected as active on the options, however it si active and I am having people leaving voicemails!!! Unfortunately my phone doesn't tell me so I'm missing messages!

My phone doesn't notify me when there are voicemails. I have an answerphone which kicks in normally but when I'm on the phone sometimes people leave messages unbeknown to me...today I travelled an hour for an appointment only to find the appointment had been cancelled last night when they left a voicemail.

I don't want 1571. I've not selected it to be active. I have no idea how to stop it taking voicemails

OK, I think i follow you. Unfortunately, it is 18 months since I left PN, but I think, somewhere on your Members Centre, there is the option to add/remove features. If you can't find it, give them a call on 0800 432 0200 - but be prepared for a lengthy wait on hold.

Yes I found that. 1571 feature is NOT shown as activated. However it obviously is I'm afraid. Looks like I'll just have to try and phone Plusnet?

If it isn't shown as activated, I'm a little surprised it appears to be working 😕 , but yes, I'm afraid you will need to call in.

I see others have had the same problem as me in the past...looking at posts from 2018 on this forum. Doesn't look like Plusnet have corrected this in the last 4 years sadly.

It’s not so much fixing this as there being mismatches between Plusnet’s view of the line’s configuration and BTOR’s.
