Home telephone number due to change but have health issues and REALLY need this kept.

My new home phone service with Plusnet is due to start on 19/9/22 but I was under the impression I could keep my existing BT telephone number. I have had a stroke and have other medical issues so cannot recall numbers etc well. How can this issue be resolved as if it can't I need to cancel my order ASAP. Medical professionals etc all have this number and I can't change with all of these different places. I have tried the online chat but got told to call but then I just get put on hold or get cut off. Thank you in advance.

@nanny4 I would suggest that you keep trying to call in as the delay for staff on this forum to answer could be between 3 to 7 days (going by average response times). There are insufficient staff at Plusnet on this and the social media channels so for ASAP issues you need to persevere with voice calls.

Hi there nanny4, I'm sorry to see that your existing number wasn't carried over. We'd only do this if it was chosen as an option when setting up an account with us. Could you send me a private message with the number you were hoping to move over and I'll take a look at getting that moved over to your service with us.
