Switching from PlusNet copper landline to VOIP

I've got a PlusNet FTTC contract with landline. PlusNet have told me today that if I switch to PlusNet's FTTP service, I won't be able to retain my copper landline but PlusNet will let me transfer my existing landline number to a VOIP provider.

Has anyone moved from PlusNet FTTC to FTTP and transferred their PlusNet landline number to a VOIP provider? If so, how did it go? Which VOIP provider did you switch to? And advice?

@KAR

I believe A & A are well regarded.

If you change make sure you click (or ask) to retain your number. While you may be abke to setup your VOIP account in advance do not start the port until the day after your FTTP install (in case it gets delayed). Yjer may be a few down days of no phone service.

Also, pay attention to what's required for your current phones to work on VOIP so that's sorted before you move.
