IPv6 when?

No, repeat after me ... "NAT is not a firewall"
You can still firewall at the gateway, just apply a policy to allow outbound traffic and drop inbound traffic and your security will be the same as sitting behind a NAT gateway on IPv4.
Going beyond that is a bit OT for this thread, but some people think you should also drop outbound traffic apart from that which you want to allow (since so much malware now "phones home" for instructions). Also, as well as running a good firewall at the gateway, it is good practice to run one on each host as well.
Changing tack a bit, World IPv6 Day has been and gone - few noticed, the world didn't end, the internet didn't implode
