Quick update
We enabled IPv6 within our core yesterday and can successfully ping etc across the core using v6. Next will be IPv6 prefix exchanges with our peering and transit partners. Beyond that I'll post our plan in the new year. Also to note we just recently got another IPv4 allocation from RIPE (46.208/16).

Ethernet adapter Local Area Connection:
Connection-specific DNS Suffix . : avatastic.co.uk
IPv6 Address. . . . . . . . . . . : 2001:470:1f09:5f3:0:dead:beef:cafe
It should be ping6able too.

It will be streamed live at

RIPE suspect to run out sometime this year, probably by August and then no more IPv4 so best get upto speed with v6 although its actually not complicated like people make out, infact its simpler than v4 as subnet sizes are standardized.

Quote from: David As far as I'm aware, Netgear offer *no* IPV6 enabled routers.
I believe my DGND3300 does... unless Netgear were just taking the mickey when they left the configuration page in for it.

Do you have any firm plans yet about your next move?
Thanks.

Quote from: _CN_ Beyond that I'll post our plan in the new year.
The new year is slipping away.
May I suggest that Plusnet start an IPv6 blog to provide updates, however tentative they may be. This should help to inform customer's purchasing decisions for future hardware and software.

A blog will be posted in the coming weeks, this will include our plan etc.
We have already been testing IPv6 for PPP access, and the next steps will be to test with IPv6 capable CPE, then a user trial.
