Best way to change my password

I am wanting to change the password for my plusnet account (the one that is for access the member centre and email etc.). Could someone confirm which of the options below I should use please:

Go to the member centre and click change next to the password in the manage your broadband account details. For this option do I need to do anything to my hub one?

Or on the member center put my username in but not the password and choose forgot password, change it and then use a pin to press and hold the reset on my Hub one for it to become aware of the new password.

Re: Best way to change my password

Hi @mrwizard

Thank you for your recent message.

The way in which you have described above is exactly how you go about changing your password.

Should you have any issues on the back of implementing this then please do not hesitate to get back in touch.

Hi @lahbrannan1

Could you confirm which method is the correct one?

As I have listed two different methods

Re: Best way to change my password

Hi @mrwizard

The first option is probably the best IMHO.

Once you have changed the password you will need to change it to the same in the Hub One.

@mrwizard

I doubt there is any need to reset the Hub One, just change the password in >Home >Settings >Broadband

You need to 'disconnect' to be able to change it.

Re: Best way to change my password

@mrwizard I changed my password (a while back now) and hit a strange problem.

The rules for valid passwords are DIFFERENT between the Member Centre and Plusnet Hub!

I can't recall which special characters were the issue, but I had to have a few goes before I found something acceptable to both. 😕
