Please can someone tell me what bill date I need to change my DD to so it’s collected out my bank on 26th of the month? How many working days after the bill date does this get taken? Strange that plusnet don’t work with collection dates only company I use that does this, very confusing.

If you logon to the Plusnet portal at plus.net there is a 'Change Bill Date' link under the section that shows the details of your last bill.
My Direct Debit is collected about 1 week from when my bill is produced.

Looking over recent statements, my DD is being paid nominally 7 days after the billing date, with an extra day or two if billing is at a weekend, and an extra day if there's a bank holiday before the DD day.
A complex system that does not work is invariably found to have evolved from a simpler system that worked just fine
