Hi,
My direct debit seems to have almost doubled going from £26 to £47... I had a shambles getting this set up in the first place and now it seems to be a shambles at the end too.
Please can anyone assist with this?

I set it up in July 2021 for 18 months but didn't have internet for around the first month or so

That sounds very much like you have come to the end of your contract. Remember that you are invoiced a month in advance for everything excluding any call charges.

I received an email from Plusnet in december saying that when my contract ends my monthly price will remain at £26.17 though?

Have you still got that email, as it doesn't sound right to me. If you have, can you post a screenshot, removing any personal details?

Cheers for that - it is a little confusing, as I understand any negotiated contract reverts to out-of-contract terms when it comes to an end.
I would suggest you ring Plusnet and ask for an explanation.
