I have recently renewed my contract for broadband and home phone online. I understand prices go up 31st March but couldn’t understand why my recent bill was higher than expected before this increase. Looking back I was apparently receiving a discount of £25.25 per month and now it’s only £17.10 - an increase to me of over £8 a month. Please can someone explain this ‘discount’ to me (I’ve always renewed on phone before where you don’t get a breakdown - just the bottom line of how much you would pay) and why it’s changed.

I can see from your account that the discount has subsided early.
This is not related to the CPI increase.
This should be rectified automatically within 28 days of the new contract starting.
