Hiya, recently my contract ended on 3 Feb and I switched provider.
I phoned PN and gave notice on 20 January. I attempted to arrange the changeover to BT as their website asked me to use a PN number anyways. The woman I spoke to said the system wasn't letting her make changes and that she'd ring me back on 23 Jan to arrange that. I confirmed I'd still be switching. That call didn't happen so I phoned back on 23rd evening and a different person was able to change things over without any problem. The switch date therefore ended up as 6 Feb.
Have now changed over and received the final bill, and that has pro rated the days between 3 and 6 Feb as a charge of £3.26. I wanted to check whether that's correct: by my understanding I was out of contract on the 3rd, and it wasn't my fault that the changeover was delayed. It does seem a tad suspicious that PN claimed to be unable to do the changeover since they didn't ring me back about it.
I also wanted to ask how I can return my router, I have the original box and packaging but no postage bag - can I get one of those sent to my house or do I need to pay the return postage (in which case what's the correct address?) then get that back when it's received?

Presumably BT will start billing you from the 6th or 7th February then?
Did you still have broadband working on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th February? If so, who do you think should pay for that, or are you expecting to get it for free because you were out of contract?
